FOR THE RECORD - FROM OUR PAST EVENTS!

Our Traditional 'Picnic and Paint - 2025' went off with a bang!

- PORT DOUGLAS -

A DAY IN TROPICAL NORTH QUEENSLAND!

This 'Traditional Picnic and Paint' was all inclusive - with the travel by luxury Coach, Morning Tea and Lunch included - the goal was to give you time to relax, have time to meet new Artists and enjoy a part of Australia that you might not have the opportunity to visit regularly!

We visited the Port Douglas Artists Inc. Exhibition in the Port Douglas Exhibition Centre - and lunch was beautifully catered for by 'Toast Sandwich Bar - Port Douglas' - with a delicious selection of sandwiches, salads and fruit treats - inclusive of gluten and dairy free!

International Artists with us took time to hear the stories from the Port Douglas Artists - here Rajat Subhra Bandopadhyay and Ewald Hinteregger join our own Yesim Gozukara from Melbourne to hear local Artist - Victoria Park explain her extended sculptural Work 'Submergence' that embodies resilience and tension within natural and human experience. Inspired by mangrove roots - vital protectors between land and water - the tubular wire forms represent stability, protection and endurance.....

Everyone bought their Paints and en Plein Air painting kit - some paper and a backing board - to capture the colours and shapes of this gorgeous tropical north!

Improvisation by Sharon Wilkinson - shows the ingenuity of our Artists!

The views were to die for - Port Douglas is spectacular!

Other International Artists - Rajat Subhra Bandopadhyay and Ida Tentolini and her husband Alessandro joined us!
