David has offered to Workshop for ½\; a Day in the Studio in the morning of each of these Workshop Days\, and Then outdoors - weather permitting in the afternoon How does David prepare for painting and what Materials\, \;to bring with you to the Workshops! Preparation of the Painting Surface: Please bring \;Medium density fibre board as the support for stretching paper\, this board is thin enough to cut with stanley knife and snap. Paper is wet thoroughly both sides and placed on board\, stretched and held in place by gummed paper tape. Then fine staples around the edge a centimetre or so in from edge - you can then leave this to dry overnight it flattens out and ready to paint on - so bring \;staples which are short and use (mdf )board\, and if you are confident pre-prepare your board prior to coming to the Workshop! F.V.A.S  \; David has been recognized and revered internationally for his painting\, teaching and his services to the Arts. David&rsquo\;s painting career expands over many years of studying the art of watercolour painting and he has been involved in teaching his great love of this medium to painters and students both in Australia and overseas since the late sixties. His numerous achievements include well over 100 awards for his watercolours\, including the Herald Sun Best of Show\; Gold Medal Award at the Camberwell Rotary Exhibition 2002 and 2011\, won the Silver medal in 1976 and 2007. He won the prestigious Victorian Artists Society Artist of the Year Award in 1976\, 1980\, and again in 1989\, and in the same year he received the Distinguished Leadership Award for outstanding services to Watercolour and teaching from the International Directory of Distinguished Leadership and a certificate of merit for distinguished service to the community.
