Joy McDonald lives and works in Brisbane.
Joy's arts practice is centred around contemporary techniques in drawing, printmaking and painting. Her work explores ways to express the concepts of environmental and social flux in the context of cultural forgetting and denial; it reminds us of our place in the natural environment and our impact upon it.
The river and the bay - the wetland systems and riparian corridors - have persistently found their way into her life and work, and continue to provide endless stimulation and inspiration. |
