ARTIST NOTES: I always look forward to Saturday mornings in Flemington, perfumed by the unique combination of coffee, banh mi and suqaar. My walks are often energetic and intentioned, absorbing the life of my backyard. I often pass my neighbour's flowering gums and ritually admire their changing colours in bloom. I sense their stillness against the lively hubbub of a town waking up. A whisper in motion. This painting is a culmination of my daily observations combined into one, a collection of crisp mornings, ready to take on the day.
